Student Based Campaign on Administrative Decentralization

As part of its social and economic integration in the Lebanese community, MDA aims at enhancing the infrastructure of municipalities and promoting a better life for its citizens, done mainly through attaining sustainable human development. Thus, as part of what was previously said and in collaboration and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and High Education, It is MDA's pleasure to announce the launch of a school-based campaign, which will allow Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to participate in a competition aiming to raise awareness about Administrative decentralization and its relationship with municipalities. All students from Beirut public and private schools shall participate in this competition and get to know more about Administrative decentralization.

One question will be at the core of our competition, where students will compete to give in the best research papers that include, in large extent, their personal input. Announcing the winners will take place in Late May at Unesco Palace, in the presence of the Minister of Education and High Education H.E Professor Hassan Diab and other academics, officials, specialists, students, journalists, lawyers and Administrative decentralization experts.

Ten students will receive prizes on their distinguished papers. Three will win the first prize - 750,000 LBP/student, another three will win the second prize - 500,000 LBP/student, and four students will win the third prize - 250,000 LBP/student.

We will distribute competition fliers to every student attending Beirut's Public and private schools, alongside an official circulate signed from H.E the Minister Professor Hassan Diab asking to participate, all of these amounting to be around 15,000 fliers. Moreover, we will hang posters in all of these schools' playgrounds and will make casual visits to some of latter to promote our campaign personally.
